Teague
February 22, 1933 – October 5, 2025
Wanda Louise (Dyer) Teague entered her heavenly home on October 5, 2025 at the age of 92 surrounded by family and friends. She was born to Homer and Ruby (Anderson) Dyer on February 22, 1933 in Carnegie, Oklahoma. Wanda attended school and graduated from Carnegie High School in May of 1950. On August 12, 1950, she married the love of her life, Hoyte L. Teague. They enjoyed 38 years of marriage until Hoyte's untimely death on September 9, 1988.
Wanda was a devoted Christian, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Wanda ministered to, prayed with and prayed for so many during her 33 years of employment at Southern Hills Baptist Church. Wanda worked in the Sunday School Department as Administrative Secretary and taught in the Graded Choir program.
After retiring from Southern Hills Baptist Church, she continued her ministry at Vondel Smith & Sons Mortuary for 12 years by assisting with funeral services, visitations and in a multitude of areas of service.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Ruby Dyer; husband, Hoyte Teague; brother, Ermon Dyer; two nephews and one sister-in-law.
She leaves everlasting and precious memories with those who survive her; sons, Hoyte "Lendon" Teague and Howard Lynn Teague; grandchildren: Tony Menchaca and wife, Amber; Rebekah Teague and partner, Donnie Leonard, and Jordan Daniel Teague; six great grandchildren: Alexis Menchachca; Kaylie Renee and husband, Ashton Long; Asialynn Menchaca; Kayla Michelle Menchacha; Riley Murphy; Courtlynn Teague; and Jordan Teague; two great-great-grandchildren: Calum Menchaca and Victoria Long; sister, Freda Dyer; and a host of nieces, nephews and a vast community of friends whose lives she touched.
Donations in memory of Wanda may be made to the charity of your choice.
