Don, 81, loving husband, father, and grandfather went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 10, 2012. He was born August 25, 1930 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, to William & Lollie Ballou, and united in marriage of 56 years to Joanne Humphrey Ballou. Don graduated from the School of Mines in Rapid City, South Dakota with an Engineering Degree. Worked in Gas & Oil business and retired from ITT Snyder. He served in the Air Force in the Korean War. Don was preceded in death by his parents and loving wife, Joanne. Don is survived by son Paul Ballou, daughter, Denise Jordan & husband Jay; grandchildren, Jonathan Jordan & wife Lauren, Joshua Jordan, Jon Paul Ballou, Whitney Ballou, Monica Stegall-Pella, Tim Pella and two great grandchildren, Nash Jordan and Torin Pella; brother Jerry Ballou & wife Betty, & dearest friend , & "Sweetheart", Shirley Sullivan. In lieu of flowers, memorial gift to assist the poor & needy donate to St. Vincent DePaul Society @ St. Andrews Catholic Church, 800 NW 5th St. Moore, OK 73160. Services to celebrate his life are 2:00 PM Friday, July 13, 2012 at the South Lakes Chapel.
