Steve as he was known to all of his friends passed away on Friday, May 22, 2020 at the age of 65 surrounded by his family
He was born in Oklahoma City on September 3, 1954 to Earl & Bettie (Brooks) Hartley. He graduated from Mount St. Mary in 1972 & continued his education at the University of Oklahoma graduating with a B. S. degree in secondary education. He married the love of his life Mary Kaye Moisant October 21, 1978 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Steve retired as an Engineer for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company retiring in 2013 after 36 years of dedicated service. Steve was a great athlete & possessed a competitive spirit he played for numerous softball teams in the OKC metro, he thoroughly enjoy refereeing youth basketball, he was an avid bowler, golfer & enjoyed the solitude of fishing. A longtime & faithful member of St. James Catholic Church, He will be lovingly remembered as a thoughtful & devoted husband, father, son, brother & friend he will greatly missed by all those whose lives he touched.
He was preceded in death by his father Earl; Brothers Earl "Skip" Hartley & Patrick Hartley.
He is survived by his wife Mary Kaye of the home; daughter Lauren Anne Hartley & her fiancé Gideon Hamilton; his mother Bettie Hartley; brothers Richard Hartley & his wife Angela, Mike Hartley & his wife Terri; sister Susie Caffrey & her husband Dick; brother in law Mike Moisant; sisters in law Paula Hartley & Teresa Moisant; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins & an extensive community of friends.
