IN LOVING MEMORY OF
William Charles
Hogenmiller
December 3, 1938 – April 24, 2024
William Charles Hogenmiller Jr (Bill) was born on December 3, 1938 in Kittanning, PA to Martha Jane Parker and William Charles Hogenmiller Sr. He went to be with his heavenly father on April 24, 2024, surrounded by family.
Bill attended Kittanning High School and Thiel College where he earned his BA in Business. Soon after he was drafted by the United States Army where he served as Chaplin's Assistant for four years.
After leaving the Army, Bill moved to Cleveland, Ohio where he worked as a Senior Underwriter at Fireman's Fund Insurance. While there, he met the love of his life, Polly Ann Queen. They were married on May 8, 1965. Shortly after they were blessed with two daughters.
Bill and Polly moved to Houston, Texas for his job. A few years later they relocated to Oklahoma City where Bill worked as a Charter Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) at Ohio Casualty Insurance until his retirement.
Bill was active in Boy Scouts, Church Choir and his beloved childhood friendship group known as "The Clayhole Gang". Bill learned many carpentry skills from his dad and helped build his childhood home.
Bill's proudest accomplishment was his family. He never missed school events or daughter's sporting events and allowed our home to be the neighborhood hangout.
When his grandchildren were born, he wanted to be called "GRAMPS" but they could not pronounce it so he became forever known as "GIMPS". He will be forever remembered for his sense of humor, love of family and compassion for all.
He is survived by his wife of almost 59 years, Polly; His daughter Jean McDaniel and her husband Randy; his daughter Laura Monkres; his three grandchildren: Austin, Jake and Sydney and his two sisters Susan Bowman and Nancy Poholsky
It was Bill's wishes to not have a formal service but a celebration of life in the near future.
