William Price Buhrman Rader III, 82, passed from this life Saturday, January 31, 2026 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born December 10, 1943, the son of William Price Buhrman II and Helen (Graf) Burhman Rader in Henderson, Kentucky. Upon completion of high school, William joined the military serving a long and distinguished career in the US Army. During his career, he was awarded two Purple Heart awards in addition to Bronze Star with V-device as well as 13 other meritorious medals throughout his service. He retired as a Major. William also worked as an insurance agent for New York Life Insurance Company and established contracts for the Federal Aviation Administration. During his vast career field, William also earned a Bachelor of Science degree. On June 16, 1993, William married Terry Ann Collins and enjoyed their families together. William's most enjoyable moments in life were spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his: Daughter, Alicia Diane Rader; Biological father, William Price Buhrman, II who was killed in World War II; Mother, Helen Rader; Adopted Father, George Sheldon Rader; Brother, Robert "Robbie" Rader; Nephew, Jimmy Rader.
He leaves cherished memories with his: Wife, Terry Ann Rader; Son, Lance Rader and his significant other, Roberta Cabrera; Son, Michael Rader; Sister, Hanna Stanfield; Grandsons: Trace Rader, Haze Rader, Alexander Rader, and Kason Collins; Granddaughters: Kenadee Rader, Abigail Rader, and Tierney Collins. A graveside service to honor his life and commitment to serving his country will be 1:30 PM Monday, February 9, 2026 at the Ft. Gibson National Cemetery in Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma.
