William Edward Wright, fondly known as "Eddie" by his family and friends, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at the age of 81. The son of John & Faye Wright, Eddie was born April 18, 1943, in Cole, Oklahoma. Eddie honorably served his country in the United States Army as a Combat Soldier and Paratrooper of the 173rd Airborne Brigade; commonly known as "Sky Soldiers". He acquired honors within his service and was honorably discharged in 1966. In 1967 he married Regina Corona. They shared 25 years of marriage and were blessed with two children. Eddie provided for his family by working at General Motors Company for over 25 years before retiring. He always loved being outdoors, fishing and Nascar races on Sundays. William was best known for his contagious laugh, perfectly timed jokes and selfless heart. His true happiness in life was spending time with his family. Throughout his life endeavors Eddie always remained constant in his devout love for the Lord, his family and his country. He left a tremendous legacy that will continue to live on through each of us and he will forever be held close in our hearts each day.

He was preceded in death by his parents: John and Faye Wright; sister, Patsy Peterson; sister Peggy Clymer; brother-in-law Richard Clymer; Magellan and Belva Corona; and lifelong friend Neal Ackerman. Eddie leaves behind his loving family: Regina Wright; daughter Christina Wright; son Jason Wright; granddaughter Lauren Wright and her significant other Kristopher; great grandson Michael; nephews: Skip Peterson, Todd Peterson, Tony Peterson, Scooter Peterson; Niece Patti Smith; brother-in-law Lloyd "Butch" Peterson; Victor Corona; several cousins; and many other extended family and friends.
