Wilma Faye (Everett) Trotter finally went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 29, 2023. She was 93. Wilma was born Nov. 18, 1929, in Antlers, Okla., to Roy Edward and Ola Ratha (Standridge) Everett. She was raised in Antlers along with her eight siblings, (Kenneth, Earl, Billy Merle, Sue, Betty, James, Don and Gary), whom she loved dearly. In 1948, Wilma met the love of her life, Jesse "Gene" Trotter. He gave her a ride home from business school in his taxi. Three weeks later, they married. They moved to Oklahoma City and had four sons, whom she adored: Larry, Barry, Billy and Jesse Jr. Wilma treasured family, including her numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews and nieces; she especially loved watching them play sports. She also enjoyed horse racing, making jewelry and painting. Wilma was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Gene; sons Larry Trotter and Billy Trotter; grandson Tim Trotter; and great granddaughter Ceegan Brewer. She is survived by sons Barry "Buddy" Trotter (Brenda) and Jesse Trotter (Tina); sister Betty Garrison; brothers Billy Merle Everett, Don Everett (Brenda) and Gary Everett (Shelia); grandchildren Shawnda Parkhill (Mark), Matt Trotter, Tiffany Butler (Jon), Brent Trotter (Jamie), Nikki Trotter Brewer, Jake Trotter (Rachel), Jessica Reynolds (Brent), Nathan Trotter (Caroline) and Brittany Przybylo (Bob), as well as several great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the Vondel Smith Mortuary North, 13125 N. MacArthur Blvd. in Oklahoma City. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 5, at Resthaven Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, 500 SW 104th St. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Britton Christian Church at 922 NW 91st St., Oklahoma City, OK 73114.
