Obituary

Woodrow "Lee" Armstrong, Oklahoma City, peacefully passed from this life the morning of December 25, 2020. He waged a valiant battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving family; his wife of 70 years, Doris "Anne" (Litton) Armstrong, his Son Jeffrey L. (Victoria) Armstrong, his grandsons Daniel and Michael and his great grandsons Alexander and Aaron all of Oklahoma City. He will be sorely missed by many other relatives including his brother and sister-in-law James (Rita) Litton of Woodland Hills California and his devoted nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his mother Beatrice (Keller, Armstrong) Darling and his father G.W. "Chock" Little. He was also preceded in death by his twin brother Worley "Dee" Armstrong, and his sisters Sylvia Armstrong Chris, Patsy Ann Little Emerick, and Joy Lynn Little Hankins. Lee was born March 16, 1933 in Hico, Texas. He attended high school in Frederick, Oklahoma, joined the United States Air Force while he was still a teenager and spent his professional career in the Oklahoma paper industry retiring from Mid Continent Paper Company. Lee's fondest dream was to ride the range in Hamilton County, Texas. He remained an avid wildlife enthusiast throughout his life. In his heart, he was always a cowboy. Lee was a longtime member of the Oklahoma Craftsmen's Club and the Oklahoma Art Guild. Lee attended Southern Hills United Methodist Church in Oklahoma City and was active in the Harmony Class. His family will always remember his great artistic talent and will forever treasure the many works he gifted to them over the years. The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Oklahoma Palliative and Hospice Care.
