In Loving Memory of Zachary Thomas Patrick April 20, 1981 – September 6, 2026

Zachary Thomas Patrick, lovingly known as Zack, passed away on September 6, 2026, at the age of 45.

Zack was more than a brother, uncle, family member, or friend. He was someone who loved deeply, cared deeply, and carried the people he loved with him wherever life took him.

Family meant more to Zack than he sometimes knew how to put into words. His brothers, Wes and Caleb, held a special place in his heart. No matter how much time passed or how far apart life may have taken them, Zack never stopped loving them, thinking about them, or wishing the very best for them. Being their big brother was something that always mattered to him.

Zack also carried an enormous love for his mom and dad. Their memories remained close to his heart throughout his life, and his faith gave him comfort in believing that one day he would see them, along with other loved ones who had gone before him, again.

Anyone who knew Zack also knew about the incredible bond he shared with his beloved dog, Nutmeg Patrick. Nutmeg was much more than a pet. He was Zack’s four-legged son, his companion, his comfort, his family, and his boy. Zack’s love for Nutmeg showed one of the purest parts of who he was…when Zack loved someone, he loved them completely.

Zack had a gift for creating memories in the simple things. He loved to bake, and the things he made in the kitchen were another expression of who he was. Food had a way of bringing people together, and Zack understood that sometimes love could be found in something as simple as making something special and sharing it with someone you cared about.

He valued family, connection, and the time people spent together. Beneath everything else was a man who simply wanted the people he loved to know how much they meant to him.

Zack’s faith was also important to him. He believed in God, in forgiveness, and in the hope that this life is not the end. There is peace in imagining that when Zack’s journey here was complete, he was welcomed home by the people he had missed for so long.

Zack was preceded in death by his father, Dwight Patrick; his mother, Shirley Patrick; his beloved four-legged son, Nutmeg Patrick; and cherished loved ones Cheryl, Bob, Patty, Lester, and Delores Arnold.

There is comfort in imagining that the reunion Zack had hoped for has now taken place…that his mom and dad were there to welcome him home, along with the loved ones he had missed so deeply, and that somewhere in that homecoming was Nutmeg, waiting once again for his person.

Zack is survived by his brothers, Wes Patrick and Caleb Patrick; his sister-in-law, Laura Patrick; and his beloved nieces, Scarrlet Patrick and Savannah Patrick, along with many family members and friends who will continue to carry his memory forward.

Those who loved Zack will remember far more than a single moment or a single day. They will remember a lifetime of love, family, laughter, stories, and memories.

His recipes will still be made. His stories will still be shared. His name will still be spoken. And there will always be moments when something makes us smile and say, “That reminds me of Zack.”

Those are the moments that keep someone with us.

Zack’s life will continue through every person who loved him and every memory they carry forward.

He was loved. He loved deeply. And he will always be part of our life.
