James Russell Brakebill, 79, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma passed away January 24, 2012. He was born December 22, 1932 in Oklahoma City to Russell and Juanita (Grubbs) Brakebill. He received the distinguished service award by the US government from Washington, DC. He retired as Division Chief from TAFB and was a member of Southern Hills Baptist Church. He enjoyed working in his yard, attending OU Football games, and golfing with his son.

He is survived by:
• His wife Joyce Marie Brakebill;
• Son Jim Brakebill and wife Tammy;
• Daughter Janice Ellis;
• And grandchildren Jimbo Brakebill, and Melissa Clymer and husband David.
