Marcelyn MaHaffy Upp of Warr Acres passed away Friday. She was born to Margaret and Roy MaHaffy on November 20th 1934, in Oklahoma City. Marcie graduated from Classen high school in 1953. She continued her education at the University of Oklahoma, where she met the love of her life, Jerry Upp. They married in 1957. After enjoying time living in Nicé France, they returned to the states to raise a family. Marcie enjoyed traveling and loved to meet new people. Marcie embraced life, whether she was driving her beloved Firebird, swimming in the backyard, hosting a party, or rooting for the Sooners. Even after her diagnosis of Parkinson's coupled with other ailments, when asked how she was doing she'd always respond with a big smile and say I'm doing just fine. Marcie is preceded in death by her parents; husband Jerry Upp and daughter Renée Upp-Kajdasz. She is survived by her oldest son Dan Upp his wife Debby and son Daniel; her daughters husband Stan Kajdasz and children Rhiannon and Matthew; her youngest son Ray, his wife Carol and sons Joseph and Benjamin.
