Billie Jo Manasco passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at the age of 86. The daughter of Joe Brown and Birdie Beatrice (Thomas) Jones, Billie was born April 13, 1929 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma. She attended schools in Garvin County, Oklahoma as well as in Arizona and California. Billie graduated from Wynnewood High School in 1948 achieving the distinction of class salutatorian. While employed as a secretary at the Pauls Valley State School, she married James V. Manasco in June 1950. The couple moved to Oklahoma City shortly afterward and Billie devoted herself fulltime to raising a family with the addition of son, Keith and daughter, Linda. In 1967, she returned to the workplace, serving as Office Administrator for the American National Insurance until 1992. Family and friends cherished Billie as a paragon of character, intelligence, selflessness and heart. She will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her:
Parents;
Brother, Jerry Wayne Jones.
Billie leaves cherished memories with her loving:
Husband of 65 years, James Verbon Manasco;
Son, James Keith Manasco;
Daughter, Linda Diane Ambuehl and her husband, Alan;
Sister, Dorothy Anderson and her husband, Calvin of Purcell, OK;
Sister, Anna Smith of Oklahoma City;
Brother, T.C. Jones and his wife, Joanne of Noble, OK;
Grandson, Daniel Ambuehl;
Grandson, Alex Ambuehl and his wife Katie, and their daughter, Eloise and son, Desmond;
Sisters-in-law, Winnie Manasco and Irean Griggs;
Sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Bobbie and Clyde Griggs;
Many other loving family members and friends.
