oh Bill.
darn it.
you were supposed to stay here so much longer. it was comfortable just to think of you and your beloved Naomi June and Kim and Treva Gale (i'm sure i spelled Gale wrong!) and the big white house you bought and wanted to restore.
the endless cups of coffee... and yes. those cigarettes.
those years in tourism. so many gone now. but... oh the times.
from the beginning. you helped me. in so many ways.
I ... THE NON MATH IDIOT. seriously. the math skills of a THIRD GRADER!
when given a horredous report to do... like MONTHS of calculating quotas for our reservations staff...
YOU patiently showed me how to go about it. you took your time and though your amazing wit always had a ZINGER! you NEVER belittled me about my inabilities or my weakness there.
you were a gentleman.
we were a loud bunch over there... across the room from you. it was the nature of OUR JOB!
to show excitement and sell Oklahoma. but the cubicle walls didn' protect you from the noise.
and how you and Glen and Corky EVER could concentrate enough to do YOUR OWN JOBS ...
I'LL NEVER KNOW!!!
oh Bill.
this should be sad.
and it's a huge hole you've left in the lives of your family and close friends.
but they should picture you the way i am my Bill ....
wonderfully ... THERE!!!
having coffee with Mr. R and Bob Newman and Denny and Judi Chitwood ... and so many more.
and look up my darling Bob James for me Bill. It's been a long time. but i miss him to this very day.
and he could match your wonderful wit and humour! you wil like him.
well.
i've rattled on here enough. after all it was just supposed to be a story. not a book!
but
oh Bill.
you made an impression. one i was grateful for. and one i'll never forget.
God Speed dearest Bill!
love
Tammy James
