The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Wyman Blackwell can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Great neighbor & friend

Sally & I were neighbors to Wyman for a number of years & there was no better neighbor or friend than Wyman. Wyman & I spent many hours sittinhg on the tailgate of his truck in his garage just visiting & sharing stories about anything & everything. Wyman was always there to help a neighbor in any way that he could, from helping take down tree branches to offering his truck to help out with chores. Wyman & I spent several Chritmas seasons putting up outside Christmas lights. I remebr one year that I was on a tall ladder putting lights around my eaves. The job was tricky because it required my balancing on the ladder in several places. On one occasion I nearly lost my balance & almost fell, but suddenly I felt someone grab the ladder & steady me. I got the lights up & turned arond to see Wyma standing there. We got my lights up & then went across the street & put his lights up. Wyman always had a kind word & a smile that would make even the worst day better. We will miss him & look forward to seeing him & his wonderful smile again someday. To a wonderful neighbor & a great friend; rest in peace my friend.
