John, 89, passed away Feb 2, 2016. John was born Sept 4, 1926 in Nopphlet, Arkansas. He retired from the USAF at rank of Lt. Col. He later went to work for the US Army Corp of Engineers where he worked as a program manager for many years. On March 18, 1963, he married Jerrie Ann Jones & together celebrated more than 52 years together. He enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters and watching Texas football. He will be deeply missed. Preceded in death by his parents and brother, William Laney. He leaves behind his loving wife of 52 years, Jerrie Ann Laney; son, Michael Dudley Laney & wife, Melissa; grandchildren: Lilianna & Rose Laney; and many other loving family & friends
