Paul Wayne Taylor of Oklahoma City,OK passed on Saturday, April 14, 2016 at Mercy Hospital. He was 77 years old. Paul was born on June 29, 1938 in Tell City, Indiana. Paul was a hard worker. He grew up working on a farm and enjoyed working with animals. He loved the country lifestyle. As evidenced by his fondness for country music and classic western movies. He loved Hank Williams Sr. and George Jones' classic tunes. As for movies, Paul was a big fan of John Wayne and Clint Eastwood. Paul was not afraid to get his hands dirty and in his later years worked as a roughneck in the oil industry. He was disabled for many years in his later life but still enjoyed working on cars and lawn equipment. He also had a fondness for babies and always made sure to spend time playing with his grandchildren when he was able.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Iona Taylor (Tell City,IN) as well as his brother Charles Clifford Taylor (Swanton,NE).

Paul is survived by his wife, Mae Taylor (OKC), his brother Carl Matthew Taylor (Ashland,NE). Paul had two sons; Matthew Charles Taylor (Beatrice,NE) and Paul Wayne Taylor II (OKC), three daughters; Michelle Marie Taylor Sewell (Lincoln,NE), Paula Taylor Fleming (Caldonia,MS), and Kari Alicia Taylor (OKC). He was blessed with nine grandchildren Tiffany Sue and Dustin Paul Taylor (Beatrice,NE), Darian Marie and Derek Keith Sewell (Lincoln,NE), Christopher Dalton and Timothy Cole Fleming (Caldonia,MS),Gracie Taylor Williams (OKC), Hunter Scott and Conner Lee Wilmot (OKC) and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral services officiated by Pastor Doug Muchow, will be held at Vondel L. Smith and Son Mortuary located at 6934 S. Western Ave. on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 10:00 am with interment immediately following at Blanchard Cemetery. All are welcome to come and celebrate the life of Paul Wayne Taylor. Family and friends are also encouraged to leave condolences on this page.
