Bema Marie Cox was born Tuesday, June 17, 1930 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Robert Lee and Ella Mae (Sears) Carroll. She died in Norman, Oklahoma on Saturday, May 7, 2016. Bema grew up in a Salvation Army Church and was a Christian. She worked for many years for American Optical. At American Optical Bema worked as a technician, grinding lenses, and later retired from there. Bema used to like working puzzles and doing word find games.

Bema was preceded in death by:
• Her parents
• Several siblings
• Her daughter Ella Mae Cossairt
• And her husband of fifty years, Douglas John Cox, whom she loving called “John D.”

Survivors include:
• Her Brother, Russell E. Carroll
• Granddaughters, Angie Calton and Michelle Grogan
• Great granddaughter Isabella Grogan
• And loving neighbors and friends
