Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Joyce Johnson can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Visitation will be held 4-8pm with family being present from 6-8 pm on Thursday June 16, 2016. Services
will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, June 17, at Vondel L. Smith Chapel, 6934 South Western, Oklahoma City, OK. Interment to follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.

Joyce F. Johnson passed away peacefully June 13, 2016 in Oklahoma City after an extended illness. She was born in Aurora, Colorado to Rufus C. and Thelma L. Earley. The family moved to Oklahoma City in 1945. Joyce graduated from Capitol Hill High school in 1959. She retired from Tinker AFB as an administrative clerk in 2001. Joyce and AB Johnson were united in marriage on December 12, 1975 in Oklahoma City. Joyce was an accomplished organist, pianist and singer. Sharing her love of music and talent with many churches including First Southern and Hilltop Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her son Jeffrey Mark Jones, parents, Thelma and Rufus Earley, 2 brothers Albert Carl and Charles David Earley, niece June K. Derousse.

She is survived by her husband AB Johnson of Oklahoma City, niece JoAnne Weaver, AB's children, Anita
Foster, Katherine Johnson, Geraldine Farley, Victor Johnson, Delia Brown and Bob Johnson as well as many loving friends and family. Special thanks to her loving caregivers Linda Shadrick and Betty Stokes.
