Obituary for James Kermit Bailey Jr.

James Bailey, Jr., loving known as “Jim” by his family and friends, went to be with the Lord on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 19, 2016 at the age of 68. The son of Martha Alice (Rumsey) and James “Kermit” Bailey, Sr. Jim was born October 31, 1947 in Hugo, Oklahoma. After graduating from Capitol Hill High School, Jim attended trade school and became a licensed plumber and pipefitter for many years. He worked for the local plumbers and pipefitters union. He married his sweetheart, Ramona “Mona” Lynn Wigley on July 31, 1982 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Together they shared more than 34 years of marriage and raising a family. This union of marriage was blessed with five children: Ron, Christy, Tiffany, Jennifer and Ronna. In addition to being a loving husband, devoted father, hard worker and provider for his family, Jim was a very talented musician and thoroughly enjoyed music of all kinds. He was also an avid classic car lover who enjoyed attending car shows and restoring cars. A very kind, caring, and generous man, Jim was known for his softheartedness. He was always willing to help anyone in need and served the Lord, his family and others with all of his heart. He was an absolutely wonderful grandfather who loved all “the little ones” in big ways. He will be deeply missed.

Son, Ron Bailey and his family;
Daughter, Christy Cantrell and her family;
Daughter, Tiffany Miller and her family;
Daughter, Jennifer King and her family;
Daughter, Ronna Steinweiss and her family;
Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren;
Sister, Ann and her family;
Brother, Ken Bailey and his family;
Brother, Bow Bailey and his family;
Several nieces, nephews and cousins;
A multitude of other loving family and friends.
