Florence, “Flossy Mae” 84, entered Heaven’s gates on Sept 11, 2016. The daughter of Anton & Esther Kolar, she was born Jan 28, 1932 in Banner, OK. After graduating from Yukon High School, Flossy Mae married her sweetheart, LeRoy Straka on November 11, 1951 & together shared nearly 65 years of marriage. She dedicated her life to providing a warm & loving home and being a devoted mother to their 3 children. In her spare time, Flossy Mae loved sewing, quilting, and gardening. An active member of Antioch Christian Church, she loved serving the Lord, and taught Sunday school until she was unable. Flossy Mae was a wonderful wife, mother, sister and grandmother who will be forever remembered. Preceded in death by her parents & sister, Barbara Yanda. She leaves behind her loving husband, LeRoy Straka; brothers: Stanley Kolar & wife, Lillian and Max Kolar & wife, Elizabeth; sister: Patsy McDaniel; son, Curtis Straka & wife, Terri; daughter, Gwenda Straka & husband, Brian Moran; son, Mark Straka & wife, Karen Johnston; grandchildren: Stephanie Holcomb, Chesli Holman & husband, Clay and grandson, Justin Straka & wife, Mary; step-granddaughter, Brandi Biggs & husband, Jeff Ziedler; great grandchildren: Landen Holcomb, Erica & Isaac Holman; many other loving family & friends. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held 10:30 AM Thursday, Sept 15, 2016 at the South Lakes Chapel with burial of ashes at Heritage Burial Park at South Lakes.
