Visitation will be held Wednesday & Thursday from 4-8 PM, on Thursday the family will be present at the funeral home from 6-7 PM to greet friends.

Services will be held on Friday, January 27, 2017 at 2 PM at Southern Hills Baptist Church 8601 S Penn OKC

Thelma Jo Barton passed away Monday, January 23, 2017 at the age of 78. She was born March 13, 1938 in Roberta, Oklahoma to her parents, Ramos and Lola (Damron) Abbott. Thelma married Amos M. Barton on December 24, 1955 and together raised a family. She was the most wonderful Christian lady in the world. She meant all the world to her husband and all her family.

She was preceded in death by her:
Parents;
Siblings: Three brothers and One sister

She is survived by her loving:
Husband of 61 years ~ Amos M. Barton;
Three sons: Terry Barton and his wife Karen; Tim Barton and Kendal Barton and his wife Shannon;
Daughter ~ Kim Self;
Two brothers: Olan Abbott and Bob Abbott and his wife Sherry;
One sister ~ Mary Barton;
Grandchildren: Michael Self, Brian Barton, Shawna Steelman and her husband John, Mandie Self, Brooke Smiley and her husband Patrick, Matthew Barton and his wife Tracy, Casey Barton, Derrick Self, Kendra Barton, Jolie Ana Marie Barton;
Great grandchildren: MaKayelinn Barton, Justin Smiley, Connor Barton, Siddaleigh Steelman, Jordan Barton, John Asa Steelman, Zachary Burris, Chole Burris, Logan Barton, Talyn Barton and Kinley Barton;
Numerous family and friends.
