Obituary for R.V. "Rudy" Crawford

R.V. "Rudy" Crawford
Services will be 2:30 PM Monday March 20, 2017 at the South Colonial Chapel. Burial will follow at Sunnylane Cemetery.

R.V. Crawford, fondly known as Rudy, passed away peacefully from this life on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at the age of 90. He was born October 6, 1926 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to his parents, William Isaac and Mary Eliza (Quillen) Crawford. Rudy married Eddeth Rose and shared many wonderful memories together raising their children and watching their family grow until her death in 2007. After serving in the United States military, Rudy found his true calling in his love of animals, especially exotic animals. He founded Rudy’s Pet Supply and worked there for many years until his retirement. Rudy was heavily involved in his community, and active in Poetry Club, OKC Table Tennis Club, and Barbados Sheep Club. He enjoyed collecting exotic animals and writing poetry, but what he truly loved was time spent with his family. He was a wonderful son, doting father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, loving brother, and loyal friend who will be deeply missed.

Rudy was preceded in death by his:
wife, Eddeth Rose Crawford;
granddaughter, Christy Lynn Crawford,
brother, A. Z. Crawford,
sister, Aileen Lauder.

Rudy leaves behind cherished memories with his:
Sons: Jerry Crawford, Dennis Crawford, and Rich Crawford;
Daughter, Angie Luna;
Sister, Lois Taft;
Grandchildren: Stephanie, Kelly, Kyle, Julie, Jenny, Michael, Monica, Lindsey, Noah, Hannah, Oliviah, and Bellah;
great-grandchildren: Amanda, Ashley, Braydon, Liliana, Abby, Violet, Carter, Madilynn, and Lucca;
many other loving family and friends.
