The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Alma "Kay" Mee can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Alma "Kay" Mee

Alma "Kay"  Mee
Kay died at home peacefully in her sleep on April 7 at the age of 93. She was born in Walters, OK to Laura Pemberton and Spence Zachary. She was one of nine children. After graduating from high school she moved to Oklahoma City where she worked at various jobs. She married Joseph Mee after his return from WW II and was with him until his death in 2010. She and Joe had four children: Marjorie, William, Debra, and Robert who preceded her in death in 1983. Kay's surviving sisters, Clara and Allene, were especially dear to her during the last years of her life. Kay loved God, hard work, color, music and dancing.
Service 2:00 P.M. Thusday, April 13, 2017 at Vondel L. Smith North Colonial Chapel. A family visitation location will be announced following the service.
