Going to work with dad

It was about 1956 in Bentonville, Arkansas.  Occasionally I got to go to work with dad at the local "Gulf" gasoline station.  Dad had been hired to work there not only to pump gasoline into customers car tanks but to also change flat tires. My brother and sister were in school so it was only me that got to go with dad. I remember to this day how dad would buy me an "Orange Crush" soda pop in the glass bottle out of the cold refrigerator.  I loved getting one because I had never had a soda pop, only water and milk and then only after the Milk Man delivered the Milk to our front porch. Sometimes he would get me a Strawberry Crush instead of Orange.  I didn't like the Grape Crush.  What a treat and I didn't have to share it with my siblings.  Also, while sipping on this soda pop I would watch my dad jumping around in a circle on a tire that was layed on its side.  Not knowing what he was doing sparked an interest.  Later in life I realized he was changing a flat tire by removing the intertube, patching the hole and putting it back inside and airing it up.  Thus the reason to jump round and round the tire to separate the tire from the rim.
