Obituary for Freddie Gene "Fred" Brown

Freddie Gene "Fred"  Brown
Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday, December 15th, 2017 at
2:00 p.m. at Vondel L. Smith & Son Mortuary, 13125 N. MacArthur Blvd., Oklahoma City,
Oklahoma 73142. 405-720-1439.

Fred Gene Brown passed away on Sunday, December 10th, 2017 after a valiant battle with lung
cancer. He touched many lives with his gentle loving kindness and his positive attitude and
outlook on life. Fred was born from very humble beginnings near rural Gotebo Oklahoma. He
served in the US Army with the 45th Infantry Division in the Korean war. For his heroic actions
during his service in battle, he was awarded a Bronze Star. Fred worked for over 50 years as a
butcher and passed on his strong work ethic to his sons. Fred was married to his wife Nadine
for over fifty years and they had 4 sons. Fred jr., Bobby, Joe and Jerry. The loving and devoted
family includes 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
