Obituary for Virgil H Paulk

Virgil H  Paulk
Virgil H. Paulk was born May 7, 1928 in Logan County, OK the son of Hardie Jasper and Nellie Louise (Haas) Paulk. He completed this life on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at the age of 89.

After graduating from high school Virgil enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he was a part of the first crew that served aboard the U.S.S. Edisto. During his service on the Edisto they traveled to the Antarctica as an ice breaker. Virgil retired from the Federal Aviation Administration where he was an electronics technician.

Virgil married Wanda Odell Ladd on January 21, 1950 in Gainesville, TX. Odell preceded him in death after 60 years of marriage on January 10, 2010. They were preceded in death by their daughter, Ginny Lea Paulk in 1974.

He is survived by his daughter, Etta Pennington and her husband, Michael of OKC; his son, Hardie Paulk and his wife Marty of Castle Rock, CO; his sister, Mrs. Errol (Marjorie) Marshall of OKC; his four Grandchildren, Todd Pennington (Rebekah), Chad Pennington (Amy), Tyler Paulk (Dani) and Shannon Paulk (Ryan); his eight great Grandchildren, Amelia Paulk, Everett Charles McAleer, Lacy Lorenz, Chance Richardson, Allison Pennington, Colton Pennington, Cale Pennington and Collier Pennington; his great, great Grandson, Dallas Lorenz.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, April 23rd in the Vondel Smith Mortuary North Chapel, 13125 N. MacArthur. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
