Alice “Maxine” Ervin Dunnam was born in Yale, Oklahoma in Payne County on March 15, 1924, to Arthur Clinton Ervin and Mary Bell Roberson Ervin. She went to be with the Lord on January 9, 2010 at the age of 85 years. Maxine was a loving mother who cared for her children. She was a kindhearted grandmother and great grandmother who shared her heart with all. She was a devoted follower of Christ who shared her faith with neighbors and friends alike. She had a great ability to see a need and find a way to meet it. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Larry Alvin Dunnam, three sisters, Olive Moser, Opal Harder and Freda Peck, an infant brother and a great grandson Christopher Alan Brown. She and Larry pledged their life and love together in marriage at the stroke of midnight December 31, 1946, January 1, 1947. They were married 55 years, and raised three children; Michael E. Dunnam of Paoli, OK, Marshall T. Dunnam and Rita L. Rackley both of OKC, OK. She is survived by her two sons Michael D. Dunham and wife Reba, and Marshall T. Dunham and wife Atonie; daughter Rita L. Rackley and husband Cyril (Skip); ten grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She faithfully served the Lord for 56 years and was an active member of Calvary Church of the Nazarene. Maxine worked as a “Rosie The Riveter” during WWII, and was a cook at Western Heights High school for 10 years, but for the majority of her life she was a homemaker.
