Obituary for Raymond Gale VanGundy

Raymond Gale VanGundy
Ray VanGundy was born on June 23, 1962 in Miami, Oklahoma, to Alfred & Mary Fay (Chandler) VanGundy. He is survived by one brother, three sisters, one son, and three daughters, and many grandchildren, family and friends.

Ray was always so funny. We had a blast together. Ray was always teasing & tormenting all the time. He was so much fun to be with. We went out to eat all the time and then we would go out shopping afterwards, it was great. We would laugh until we couldn’t walk in the Mall. It was the same way at home, we would just look at each other and get so tickled, we couldn’t see straight. Ray will be greatly missed, and will always be loved. Joann Banks.

The main thing that comes to mind when I think of Raymond is the way he would laugh till he cried. He would lift his hand and put one finer to his eye which made you laugh even more. Ray loved to tell jokes and make you laugh: that was my favorite thing about him. Jean Cherry

Raymond loved riding his Harley, drinking coffee, and laughing about things he did when he was younger and a rebel. I remember a story he loved to talk about; one time he was working on his motorcycle, outside his mom’s house, and she had told him not to wear his holey shirt again and if he did she would rip it right off him. He was wearing it while working on his bike and she ripped it off him, while he was saying “No mom, not my best shirt”!!. Fay Moore
