James David Henley Sr.
Visitation will be at Vondel Smith South (6934 S. Western) Monday Feb 15 from 4-8 PM & Tuesday Feb 16 from 4-8 PM with family greeting friends from 5-7 PM. Services to celebrate his life will be held 2:30 PM Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2016 at the South Colonial Chapel (6934 S. Western)

James left this earth on Feb. 12, 2016. He was born in December 4, 1958 to James & Martha (Mullins) Henley & raised in Porter, OK. James moved to OKC in 1978 where he met the love of his life Kathy & on March 19, 1979, they wed. In their 37 years together, they raised three children, and as a family, made countless memories hunting, fishing, boating around the lake, & riding four wheelers. When James had free time, he loved working on Hot-Rods & would sometimes sneak off to casinos, but every weekend he would surely be at the lake house relaxing. James worked as a wrecker driver for Puckett’s Wrecker Service since November of 1985. James was preceded in death by his parents, & one brother Ricky Henley. He is survived by his wife of nearly 37 years Mary Kathyleen “Kathy” Henley; sons: James David Jr. & Sara Henley (Okemah); Bruce & Jessica Henley (OKC); daughter Sheila Henley & her fiance David Townley (OKC); Sister, Linda Phillips & Leroy (Porter, OK); six grandchildren; Caitlyn, Jorjie, Brice, Alevia, Jagar, & Bailee & one Grandpup Booker “Booger” Henley; many nieces, nephews, friends & his extended family Jerri, Chris, & Paul Puckett.

His laughter will be in our hearts forever.
