Jack Anthony Martin joined his wife, Joy, in eternal life on October 8, 2016 at the age of 94. Jack was born August 9, 1922 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to George and Gene Martin. He married Jane White in 1941 and was blessed with three children; Jim, Jane, and Jill. He honorably served his country in the United States Army during World War II. On October 29, 1960, Jack married Joy Elliott and this union of marriage was blessed with a son, Jack Martin, II. Jack provided a wonderful home for his family by working at Tinker Air Force Base, with his military service and time in at Tinker, Jack’s career spanned 42 years. After retirement, he refocused his energy towards art and was one of the founding members of the 50 Penn Art Gallery as well as countless years of showing in Oklahoma City’s Festival of the Arts. Jack always enjoyed painting whether it was a beautiful landscape oil painting, jack-o’-lantern faces on pumpkins, or giving painting lessons at church. It was a gift that he was given and he enjoyed sharing it. Jack will be remembered by his love of; family, art, a good joke, and of course his undying love for Joy. Jack and Joy shared 49 beautiful years of marriage before her passing 7 years ago on October 8th. They faithfully served at First Lutheran Church of Oklahoma City for more than 35 years. Jack was a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather, and a loyal friend. He will be deeply missed by all.

Son, Jack Martin II of Oklahoma City
Joe Elliott and wife Diane of Norman, Jeff Elliott and wife Janna of Moore
More than 40 grandchildren and great-grandchildren,
