Arlen Dale Tennyson went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at the age of 80. The son of Raymond and Marvel (Kimball) Tennyson, Arlen was born on August 16, 1936, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Arlen honorably served his country in the United States Army National Guard. On July 11, 1959, Arlen married his sweetheart, Shirley Owen, and together shared more than 57 years of marriage and raising a family. Arlen provided a warm and loving home for his family by working at Dulaney’s Upholstering and Appliances before venturing out on his own entrepreneurship, successfully owning and operating his own business, Spring Air Mattress Company, for more than 30 years. Arlen was known for his love as a history and science buff. He studied all things and learned a lot by reading encyclopedias. In his spare time, Arlen enjoyed such hobbies as gardening, reading, playing Solitaire, and inventing different things.
