A celebration of life will be at 10:00 AM Friday March 31, 2017 at Vondel Smith Mortuary South Colonial Chapel (6934 S. Western OKC, OK 73139)
On the evening of March 27th, we lost a precious soul. Rhonda “Janie” Simpson Clark was born June 9, 1968 in Guthrie, OK to Ernest Lyle Simpson and Sue (Millarr) Simpson. As a young woman she participated in The Future Farmers of America (FFA). Janie went to high school in Guthrie OK but moved to Shepherd Texas during her Junior year and graduated from Shepard High School in 1987. She began a career at Whataburger as a manager then later began a career at Budget Box & Bag all while caring for her family. After 15 years of dedicated service at Budget Box and Bag Janie stayed at home for two years to care for her newborn grandson Jaxson. Janie then began working as a personal caregiver with Excell Homecare, and found extreme joy in helping those in need. Janie enjoyed time at the Illinois river fishing, rafting & making memories with her family. When she was at home, she could be found couponing, manicuring her garden, cooking for her family and friends, or enjoying precious moments with her grandbaby Jaxson. Anyone that walked through her door would never leave on an empty stomach. She will be forever missed, but always in our hearts.
She was preceded in death by her father Ernest Lyle Simpson. Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, Sue & husband Vic Rice; her loving husband of 11 years Jim Clark; daughter Breanna Fikes; two sisters: Pam Price & Janet Hayes; one brother, Jeff Simpson; her grandson Jaxson Fikes; close friend Sandy O'Neal, Misty Hill and Rose Baker as well as many other close friends & loved ones. .
