Darlene Grusendorf went to be with the Lord on Wednesday February 7, 2018 at the age of 74, surrounded by her family. She was born April 28, 1943 in Carmi, Illinois to her parents, G.B. Little and Lois (Little) Wax. Darlene married her sweetheart and love of her life, Glen Grusendorf on January 2, 1960. They shared more than 56 wonderful years together raising a family until his passing on November 27, 2016. Although she spent much of her life as a homemaker, she had a 10 year career with Tinker Air Force Base as a Procurement Technician until she was no longer able. Darlene was an excellent cook, & loved preparing meals for her family, especially during the holidays. She was a loving wife, devoted mother and doting grandmother who will be deeply missed. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Glen Howard Grusendorf, & one brother Gary Little. She leaves cherished memories with her loving family; son, Glen Howard Grusendorf Jr. and his wife, Denise; son, Greg Grusendorf and his wife, Terri; one sister Chris & husband Bob Harwell; seven grandchildren: Lacey Retter and her husband, Christian; Whitney Plumlee and her husband, Kelley; Ryan Grusendorf; Zac Grusendorf and his wife, Holly; Mollie Grusendorf; Ebone Nero; Travis Nero; 14 Great Grandchildren; and a host of other loving family and friends. Services to celebrate her life will be held at 2:30 PM Friday, February 16, 2018 at Trinity Church of the Nazarene (7301 S. Walker OKC)
