Services to celebrate her life will be held 10 AM, Monday, May 21, 2018 at Graceway Baptist Church, 1100 SW 104th St. OKC, OK
Lucy, 88, went to be with the Lord on May 15, 2018. The daughter of Herculano & Socorro Esquivias, Lucy was born on Jan 28, 1930 in OKC. After graduating from Central H.S. she began work in a private industry, and later began working for the Federal Government. She married the love of her life John Ramirez in 1962, and together they moved to Sacramento, CA in 1963. Lucy worked for the state of California in numerous facets until her retirement in 1991. During the summer of 2004 Lucy and John relocated back to Oklahoma to enjoy the rest of their retirement. On Jan 14, 2005 her husband John passed unexpectedly. Lucy loved gardening, food, and family, but most of all she loved her Lord. She was a devout member of Graceway Baptist Church where she was constantly praying for her friends and family. Many would say she was the definition of a “Prayer Warrior”. She was preceded in death by her parents Herculano & Socorro Esquivias, husband John M. Ramirez, four brother: Manuel R. Figaro, Ben Esquivias, John Esquivias, & Frank Esquivias, and one sister Carmen E. Corona. She leaves behind her brother Joe Esquivias, sister Rosie Esquivias, many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. The family wishes to express their most heartfelt thanks to Kimberly Esquivias (Lucy's niece) for taking care of Lucy, which will never be forgotten.
