Carlyle Yates is one of the most admired and respected persons we have been privileged to know over the course of our lives, such an upstanding and outstanding person who has positively impacted the lives of hundreds and even thousands over the course of his life ... through personal friendship, through his ministry and in his congregations, through his splendid and dedicated teaching of young people who were in his classes (our daughter being one), through his community involvements, and through the wonderful family he has left to the world through his three sons and daughter and the families that they in turn have created. Perhaps that it is the greatest legacy of all, the quality and character and basic goodness and compassion of one's children, and Carlyle must now feel a wonderful sense of fulfillment and confirmation in realizing that his special gift to the world is one of the very finest of all.
