James Thomas Carmen was called to his heavenly home on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the age of 49. He was born December 18, 1966 in Okinawa, Japan to his parents, James Theodore “Jim” and Miyoko (Uhera) Carmen. James came from a military family, and although was raised in many different places, Oklahoma was his home. Relationships with family and friends were the focus of James’ life. James and his best friend Holly Kay (Engle) Carmen treasured 25 years of marriage. James was a devoted and loving father to his sons Jacob and Jayden. His passion for anything with speed led to his owning and operating Speedworks, a small engine repair business. James had a great sense of humor that defined his personality. His humor was often seen though nicknames he gave to friends and family. James’ life was struck by tragedy but despite his hardships he lived a life of purpose, full of love and lasting memories. James lived each day with joy, determination, and bravery. During his time here on earth, James left an impression that will never fade, and although his presence will be missed, he will never be forgotten.

James is survived by his loving:
