Funeral services will be 1 PM Tues, May 31, at Graceway Baptist Church, 1100 SW 104th St. with interment to follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
Gene A. Marshall, 92, completed his race of life to join loved ones gone before on May 25, 2016. He was born in Oklahoma City October 29, 1923. Gene was a graduate of the class of 1941 from Capitol Hill High School. He proudly served his country as an officer in the U.S. Navy for 12 years during World War II & Korea. He received a B.S. in Civil Engineering from University of Oklahoma in 1947. He worked as an estimator, design-engineer & vice-president for both Robberson and W & W Steel companies until retirement in 1994 & was a registered professional engineer in the State of Oklahoma. Gene was a longtime member of Exchange Avenue Baptist Church where he enjoyed being a member, deacon, departmental director & teacher of a men’s Bible study class. He joined Graceway Baptist Church a few years ago when his travel became limited.
Gene is preceded in death by his:
Wife of 64 years, Marguerite (Marge)
Parents, Albert & Lucile;
Brother, Ray.
He is survived by:
2 sons, Dave & wife Jean and Dale & wife Susan;
2 daughters, Gina & husband Gary Jones and Barbara & husband Euan McMillan
9 grandchildren;
11 great grandchildren,with two more arriving this summer
4 great-great grandchildren;
And his precious companion of the last several years, Jane Goodner
